The Orchard Hotel & Restaurant

Had a fantastic two night stay at the Orchard. Staff were incredibly polite, attentive, friendly and helpful. The hotel was extremely clean and well presented throughout. The food in the restaurant was excellent too. Some notable plus points included the ability to open the window (and aircon), sustainability a key feature throughout, and access to the University gym and swimming facilities. Lastly, access to EV charging points at a reasonable rate was very helpful and one of the reasons I chose the hotel.

We recently enjoyed a wonderful one-night stay at the Orchard Hotel and it was truly a fantastic experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed at check-in by Kirsty, whose friendly and professional manner immediately set the tone for our stay. She made us feel genuinely valued and at ease. Our room was beautifully prepared by housekeeping, with thoughtful personal touches that made it feel extra special. My six-year-old daughter was absolutely delighted with the swans and other towel arrangements ,such a lovely surprise that really made her day! In the evening, we dined at Bramleys, and the experience was faultless from beginning to end. We were warmly welcomed by Franco, shown to our table by Alex, and looked after wonderfully by our waitress, Charlie. The service was attentive, friendly, and professional throughout. The food was absolutely delicious ,beautifully presented and full of flavour. It made for a truly memorable evening. The next morning, we were greeted in the breakfast area by Zizzi, who was absolutely lovely and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice and everything cooked perfectly. My daughter was kindly offered pancakes, which were brought over by Tan. What made it even more special was that Tan remembered from our previous stay that my daughter loves pancakes,such a thoughtful and personal touch that truly made our day and meant a lot to us. We had such a great stay and couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you to the entire team for making our visit so enjoyable and memorable. We can’t wait to come back!

Fabulous entrance, room decor lovely and unique. Calming wall mural. Service and follow up messages fantastic. More parking out back of hotel. Lifts secured with room card operation. Only thing we found was the Brambles seemed very expensive, fancy and not a child friendly menu. So we ate out. Also bring charger plugs as no USB sockets! Breakfast buffet was lovely, English and Continental. Perfect way to start your day.

From the moment we walked in we were impressed by the quality and the atmosphere. Our room continued this, spacious, airy with a very comfortable bed and all amenities we could want. we had booked breakfast and that was a well stocked and delicious buffet with attentive staff ready to take orders for cooked on demand items. Really looking forward to being able to book again when staying in Nottingham.

We were in Nottingham for a family event in Beeston and several of us chose to stay at the Orchard Hotel. The location was easy to find from the motorway, with plenty of parking and good public transport links. Even the digital key app worked well. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. We also spent a pleasant evening in the bar area, where there is plenty of seating. The hotel is clearly used to dealing with large numbers of guests but still retains a personal touch. We will definitely stay here again and will be happy to recommend it to others.

The place is fantastic. Large room with high quality bed. Very good food… and for a very reasonable price. But beyond all of this, I arrived yesterday with a tyre damaged… The hotel staff tried to help and fix my issue! The care is amazing. Thank you so much for your kindness and congratulations for the high customer experience.

This was my first time staying here and it was a very enjoyable experience. The hotel was in a perfect location in the university campus and was ideal for my 24 hour visit. The hotel is immaculate inside and the room was spotless and well equipped. The breakfast in the morning was great and the staff were very attentive and helpful. I will definitely stay here again if I am in Nottingham.

This is a nice hotel. It's a little over priced for what you get. The breakfast is very nice, but the room I stayed in was only OK. I was disappointed to return to my room to find it very cold because the window was left open. This turns off the air-conditioning, which is the only heating. The restaurant 'Bramleys' had good service but was on the occasion I visited was clearly having an issue in the kitchen. The food was delayed and the overall service was affected by this. My food arrived after a long delay (starters 30 minutes, main nearly an hour) and whilst the flavours were there and very good, the quality sadly wasn't. My pork was not served pink, the venison croquet was lovely but the jus was cold. All in all quite disappointing. Had it not taken such a long time to arrive I would have complained. The bar staff were very good at engaging in conversation with customers, however this did leave others waiting to be served. I would happily give this hotel another go as I think I just caught it on an off day.
